As unique applications for liquid nitrogen injection present themselves, Vacuum Barrier’s NITRODOSE line of liquid nitrogen injection systems address these applications with special dosing head attachments. The most recent attachment is the directional dose dispersion/low dose velocity heater block, referred to as the 3-D/LDV heater block. This unique attachment serves to disperse the liquid nitrogen in a controlled fashion so the liquid nitrogen charge will gently rest on the product surface while also reducing the velocity of the liquid nitrogen charge.

The new 3-D/LDV attachment is suited for both hot and cold fill applications where headspace is less than .25” (6mm) and presents a risk of the dose bouncing out of the container. A second application is when achieving a low range, accurate pressures of <.01 gram dose is needed. This application necessitates itself with ultra lightweight packaging. Other applications include; dispensing onto powder products that can be disrupted or propelled from the container and dosing onto solid products where the direct charge of liquid nitrogen may cause some or all of the charge to glide off the product.
