The
primary use of liquid nitrogen in the automotive industry
is to cryoshrink various components, such as valve seats
and guides, cylinder lines, bearings, etc.
Because of the size of automotive plants, the LN2
source is often hundreds of feet from the point of
use. In order to insure high quality LN2 delivery,
vacuum-jacketed piping is required.
SEMIFLEX bendable piping
provides the most efficient transfer of LN2 from the
bulk storage tank to the point of use. Systems are
all vacuum-jacketed for frost-free operation.
Freeze
chambers
Freeze
Chambers for Valve Seats, Pins
Our Freeze Chamber for Valve Seats features apparatus
for rapidly chilling work pieces as they are delivered
to an assembly line using cryogenic fluid. This Freeze
Chamber is suitable for fast moving assembly lines and
enables the efficient use of cryogens such as liquid
nitrogen.
The flow of cryogen is controlled and stabilized, so
that cryogen is not wasted. Build up of condensation
and frost, which could clog the apparatus and shut down
the assembly line, is avoided. Moreover, the cooling
system is readily turned off and purged if a longer
assembly time shutdown is required.
Freeze
Chambers for Cylinder Liners
Our Freeze Chamber for Cylinder Liners provides the
chilling and shrinking of work pieces being conveyed
to a workstation on an assembly line. This method provides
an efficient use of cryogen. The cryogen produced by
the spray is used for the pre-cooling process after
it has been used to chill the work pieces in the cooling
stage.
The chilling chamber is configured so that the cryogen
flows by gravity with no need of mechanical pumping
and provides control over undesirable vapour condensation
and frost formation.
NITROMATIC
Liquid Nitrogen Fill Station
The NITROMATIC automatic liquid nitrogen fill station reduces labor waste, provides a true liquid nitrogen fill, eliminates nitrogen waste and is equipped with a safety timeout feature that can be set for 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes.
